Whiskey on the Tracks
Whiskey On The Tracks is a new Irish business offering a whiskey tasting event like no other. Each events takes place aboard one of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland's schedules services. A steam powered locomotive takes the passengers from Dublin's Connolly station to ever expanding destinations such as Maynooth, Kilkenny and Northern Ireland.
The Challenge
I was tasked with designing and developing a website that looked clean and simple. It was also essential for the website to be easy for visitors to navigate. The overall goal of the website was to list all of the upcoming whiskey tasting events, hosted by Whiskey On The Tracks, and to allow customers to purchase tickets for these events once they became available.
The Solution
For Whiskey On The Tracks, I was able to create a website that met all of these objectives. I integrated the client's prefered ticketing system, Tito, into the website so that clients could purchase tickets. I included a newsletter sign up form which allows customers to register their interest for upcoming events and setup a blog. I also added in some subtle design extras to tie in with the overall style of the brand, such as the use of vintage steam train era ticket stbs and animated train tracks. I continue to work with Whiskey On The Tracks on the maintenance for their website
